We’ve long known how NBA scouts project Michigan State freshman Jaren Jackson Jr. as a professional basketball player. Even last summer, before he stepped foot in East Lansing, mock drafts had the Indianapolis native going in the lottery, usually somewhere in the top 10. And after a freshman season in which was named the Big Ten’s Defensive Player of the Year, there was nowhere to go but up for Jackson.
