Expectations gradually increased over Mark Dantonio’s first 10 seasons at Michigan State. First to get back to a bowl game. Then to compete for a Big Ten title. And, ultimately, to chase a national championship. Everything has come full circle as Dantonio prepares to enter his second decade. His Spartans are out of sight and mind among most national prognosticators. It has allowed them to reset their mind-set and culture after a disastrous 2016 and an even more trying off-season.
