The sound of football was in the air Friday in East Lansing. Michigan State held its first practice of fall camp Monday, but Friday is when things really picked up, as the Spartans put the pads on for the first time since the spring. That meant a fair amount of tackling drills for the beginning of Friday’s practice. But the highlight of the morning came when MSU ran its own version of the Oklahoma drill, featuring three blockers and a running back against three defenders.
