It was MSU’s first postseason tournament appearance since 2004, when it won the Big Ten Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA regionals. The 34 wins were the Spartans’ most since 2006, and they broke seven team offensive records, including runs scored (345), batting average (.313), home runs (66) and RBIs (320).
